What Lanecard is

A tool for writing and sharing directions you know. We do not check roads, distances or landmarks; the person who writes a card is responsible for what it says. Distances and times on a card are only as good as what was typed in, and the drive time is a rough figure at 30 mph.

Lanecard is an independent tool. It is not a town, county, chamber of commerce or emergency service and is not affiliated with one. It is not for emergencies: call 911 and give the street address.

Your cards

  • Write directions to places you have a right to invite people to. Do not use a card to send people onto someone else's land.
  • No codes, passwords or hidden-key locations on cards. Anyone with the share link can read it.
  • Nothing unlawful, abusive or misleading. We may delete a card that breaks these terms.

Prices and cancelling

During the preview every Lane Pass feature is free and nothing is charged. When checkout opens: the Lane Pass will be $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year per card, and the Event Card $1.00 once for 30 days. You will be able to cancel the Lane Pass at any time; the card then keeps working and still shows everything on it. Editing it without the Pass saves it as a Free card (the first route and its first 8 steps), and the edit page says so before you save. The Event Card does not renew.

No warranty

The service is provided as is. We aim to keep it running but do not promise it will always be available, and we are not liable for a wrong turn.
